Life in Thailand has been incredible.  The people are so friendly, the food is delicous and cheap!  (I can get a whole meal for a dollar!) Our ministry here has been amazing as well!  Teaching has definitely been rough and hard to get used to, but I am actually starting to really like it.  We teach Bible, English, and Music to the boys all afternoon.  Then we teach the girls at night English.  I didn't think it was going to happen but somehow my nickname "Justin Bieber" has followed me from Nicaragua. I juss can't get away from it! haha We have also done some outreach, and we went to a home for kids with HIV and had a blast with them.  I have never in my life met a group of kids that were so cuddly and loving! It was so adorable.  These kids from the moment I walked up were climbing all over me and begging to sit in my lap and play with me.  It was such a great experience sharing God's love with those kids.

Another thing that we have done is we brought Thanksgiving to Thailand.  On Thanksgiving my team and a team that was staying at our place cooked all day on the most ridiculous oven I have ever seen, but we were victorious!  It was incredible.

Yup, we totally made dinner for 40 people on that piece of crap. haha

We had to make dinner for about 40 people.  My mom would have been so proud of me too because I actually made 2 green bean casseroles, 3 batches of brownies, and a cake! The food was delicous, but that was no where near the best part.  To be able to sit down and eat Thanksgiving dinner with 30 kids saved from the perverted and terrible sex slavery they were in before was one of the most amazing God experiences I have ever had.  I could not help but to just sit back and stare and listen to these kids eating and just have fun with each other and thank God for the opportunity to share that with them.  It was truly hard thinking about having my first Thanksgiving away from my family, but God gave me the most thankful Thanksgivings ever.  When we are weak, He truly makes us strong!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family! God bless.

  5. Cody!! You blow me away! I am amazed at the man you have become (especially how tall you are now). Every time I talk with your dad he does nothing but brag about you. I think he is a proud man, and rightfully so with all you are doing. If you need anymore help, let me know. If you are ever in NC, I got a place for you and a steak dinner to buy you!
