Leaving Nicaragua was much harder than I had expected.  I had an amazing time and loved the people there, but I was ready for a new land and adventure.  However, the tears that streamed down the people in that church from children to elderly ladies hit home in my heart.  I had not realized the message that we really brought to them those two months.  We were not just playing soccer with them and taking them to the movies, but we were giving them hope.  A hope they could not seem to find by themselves.  A hope that Jesus gave to us to give to them.  I thought for sure I would not cry, but that definitely did not last long at all.  The tears began to flow down my cheeks, and I began to realize all these kids and this family we had become apart of in Nicaragua had blessed me so much as well.  I may never see those kids and church family again, but they will always be in my heart!

  1. Cody, I’m proud of you bro. You all served and loved the people of Jinotepe well. You planted seeds. Because of you and the love of Christ, these people will never be the same. They know they have a a hope and a future.

Thank you for what you’re doing. I’m praying that the love and trust that was established in Nicaragua carries over into Thailand. I know it will.

    Praying for you guys!
